Gastrin is a peptide hormone secreted by gastric antral G-cells that drives parietal cell acid secretion, making it a key biomarker in studies of peptic ulcer disease, gastrinoma biology, and H. pylori-related dysregulation. This competitive ELISA from Assay Genie quantifies endogenous gastrin in human serum and cell culture supernatants using a peroxidase-labelled reporter antibody. Each kit provides a pre-coated microwell plate, lyophilised standards, assay buffer, wash concentrate, and substrate solution sufficient for 96 determinations. Reconstituted standards and detection reagent should be aliquoted and stored frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the sealed plate should be refrigerated until first use.
