Human Gastrin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA, double-antibody kit is designed for the quantitative detection of gastrin in human samples. It is intended for research applications in gastroenterology, where gastrin measurement can aid investigation of conditions such as gastrinomas and peptic ulcers.

The kit can be used with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported performance values include a sensitivity of 0.188 pg/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 pg/mL. Recovery figures given are 85-97% (average 92) for serum (n=5), 87-104% (average 95) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 87-104% (average 93) for heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity ranges for serum are 85-103%, 82-100% and 87-99% across dilution steps; EDTA plasma 94-104%, 84-101%, 81-97%; heparin plasma 85-98%, 94-101%, 82-98%.

The procedure uses a pre-coated plate with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months.
