Human Gastricsin (PGC) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Gastricsin (PGC), also known as Pepsinogen C, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Gastricsin is an aspartic proteinase that plays a role in protein digestion in the stomach and is used as a serum biomarker for gastric diseases, including Helicobacter pylori-related gastritis.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.25ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.8% CV and inter-assay precision is 8.6% CV. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is 96-120% in serum, 96-118% in EDTA plasma and 80-100% in heparin plasma. Recovery averages 94% (range 88-100%) for serum and 96% (range 90-102%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Gastricsin and is intended for research use only within the Cell Biology research area.
