Human GAS 6/Growth arrest-specific protein 6 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the accurate measurement of human Growth Arrest-Specific Protein 6 (GAS6) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit offers a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a standard range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL, supporting studies into how GAS6 regulates cell growth, survival and migration, as well as its roles in inflammation and coagulation.

Dysregulation of GAS6 has been implicated in cancer, autoimmune disorders and cardiovascular diseases, making it a useful biomarker for research and potential therapeutic development. Reported linearity in serum spans 86–104%, with EDTA plasma at 81–99% and heparin plasma at 82–100%, while recovery averages 94% (serum), 96% (EDTA plasma) and 98% (heparin plasma). The assay procedure follows a six-step sandwich ELISA, double-antibody workflow with TMB color development and absorbance reading at 450 nm.

For sample preparation, serum is collected after clotting and centrifugation at 1000 × g for 20 minutes; plasma is collected in anticoagulant tubes and centrifuged at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C; tissue is homogenised in PBS with protease inhibitors; cell culture supernatant is centrifuged at 2500 rpm for 5 minutes; and cells are lysed with buffer containing protease inhibitors. Storage is recommended at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
