Human GARS/Glycyl tRNA Synthetase GARS protein ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Glycyl-tRNA Synthetase (GARS) protein in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses colorimetric detection, with a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measurable range of 0.313–20 ng/mL.

GARS is also referenced under the synonyms GlyRS, AP-4-A synthetase, Diadenosine tetraphosphate synthetase, and Glycine–tRNA ligase. It is a critical enzyme involved in protein synthesis, linking glycine amino acids to their corresponding tRNA molecules. Dysregulation of GARS has been linked to disorders such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and distal spinal muscular atrophy, supporting its relevance as a potential biomarker in metabolism and neurodegenerative disease research.

The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) spans 82–105% for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Recovery ranges from 85–105%, with averages of 99% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma, and 92% for heparin plasma.
