Human Gap junction alpha-1 protein (GJA1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Gap junction alpha-1 protein (GJA1), also referred to as Connexin-43, Gap junction 43 kDa heart protein, Cx43, and GJAL. The kit uses an ELISA detection method and is reactive with human samples. GJA1 is a critical component of gap junctions that facilitate cell-to-cell communication and signaling.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.15ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 6.6% CV and inter-assay precision at 9.1% CV. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Gap junction alpha-1 protein.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Linearity across serial dilutions is reported for serum (N=5) at 111-120%, 105-116%, 103-112% and 112-120%; for EDTA plasma (N=5) at 89-99%, 86-95%, 88-98% and 94-104%; and for heparin plasma (N=5) at 117-127%, 101-111%, 95-105% and 86-94%. Recovery averages 106% in serum (range 100-112%) and 108% in plasma (range 102-114%). The kit is for research use only.
