Human Gamma-synuclein (SNCG) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise quantitative measurement of human gamma-synuclein (SNCG) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant human gamma-synuclein, with reactivity confirmed for human samples, and is intended for research use only within neuroscience workflows that investigate this protein's role in neurodegenerative disease and as a biomarker in studies of neuronal function.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.22ng/mL. Intra-assay precision (CV) is 6.5% and inter-assay precision (CV) is 9.7%. Linearity has been evaluated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Reported recovery averages are 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is supplied with microplate strips, lyophilized standard, assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate and stop solution.

Gamma-synuclein (SNCG) is a member of the synuclein family implicated in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases, where it is believed to play a role in neurofilament network integrity and to modulate axonal architecture during development and in the adult. The kit supports research into its function as a biomarker for disorders such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
