Human gamma-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone/gamma MSH ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, this kit uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection via TMB substrate, read at 450 nm. It is intended for human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL.

Components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. The protocol proceeds through reagent equilibration and primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by a biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction measured at 450 nm.

Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) is 85–105% (average 94%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 95–104% (average 99%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) 85–99% (average 93%). Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 is 86–104%, 85–101%, and 88–105% for serum; 85–101%, 82–100%, and 86–100% for EDTA plasma; and 82–100%, 89–98%, and 81–98% for heparin plasma.
