Human Gamma-Glutamyltransferase 1 (gGT1) ELISA Kit

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie quantifies human Gamma-Glutamyltransferase 1 (gGT1), a membrane-anchored enzyme that transfers gamma-glutamyl groups from glutathione and related peptides to amino-acid acceptors. gGT1 is heavily expressed by hepatocytes, renal proximal tubule cells, and certain epithelial tissues, and its release into circulation is monitored in research on hepatocellular injury, cholestasis, biliary obstruction, and oxidative-stress biology. The assay targets the canonical GGT1 isoform and helps distinguish it from closely related paralogues GGT2, GGT5, and GGT7, supporting studies where isoform specificity matters.
