Gamma-glutamyl hydrolase (gGH), encoded by the GGH gene, is a lysosomal enzyme that catalyzes the removal of poly-gamma-glutamate residues from folates and antifolate compounds, including methotrexate. This Assay Genie kit supports quantitative measurement of human gGH in vitro, using an ELISA principle on a microplate format with colorimetric readout. Investigators studying folate metabolism, antifolate pharmacology, and chemotherapy resistance pathways apply this kit in their research workflows.
Reagents are intended for research use only, and the assay procedure follows standard protocols familiar to most immunology laboratories. Each kit supplies material for one full microplate of determinations, supporting applications from cell-based pharmacology studies to clinical sample testing involving tissue homogenates and fluid-derived preparations.
