The Assay Genie Human GALNT3 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 3 levels in human research specimens. GALNT3 is a Golgi-resident glycosyltransferase that initiates mucin-type O-linked glycosylation by transferring N-acetylgalactosamine to serine and threonine residues on target proteins. The enzyme contributes to phosphate homeostasis through post-translational modification of fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), and loss-of-function variants are implicated in hyperphosphatemic familial tumoral calcinosis.
