Human Galectin 7 (GAL7) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Galectin-7 (GAL7) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. Target synonyms include LGALS7, PIG1, TP53I1, HKL-14, Lectin Galactoside-Binding Soluble 7, and p53-induced gene 1 protein.

The manufacturer reports an assay range of 125-8,000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 48pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is CV <10% and inter-assay precision is CV <12%, while the loss rate of activity is less than 5% within the stated shelf life of 12 months. Spike-and-recovery ranges are 80-102% for serum (average 91%), 81-100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%).

The protocol adds 100µL of standard or sample per well, incubates with detection reagents, washes, introduces 90µL of substrate solution, and reads absorbance at 450nm after adding stop solution. Galectin-7 participates in cell adhesion, apoptosis, and inflammation, with its dysregulation linked to cancer progression, immune response modulation, and inflammatory diseases.
