Description
Designed for the precise measurement of galectin-7 levels in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers a colorimetric detection method with high sensitivity and specificity. The assay targets galectin-7, a protein involved in cell adhesion, proliferation, and apoptosis, making it a valuable biomarker for research into conditions such as cancer, inflammation, and skin disorders.
The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It operates with a sensitivity of 75 pg/mL and a standard range of 125–8000 pg/mL. Performance has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, with linearity and recovery data provided in the product documentation. The workflow involves a sequential protocol of reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB color development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
Components supplied include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody (100X), HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer (25X), plate sealers, and a technical manual. Kit reagents should be stored at 2–8°C, with the microplate and lyophilized standard also suitable for storage at −20°C for 12 months.
