Human Galectin 13 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human galectin-13 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit has a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB color development.

Galectin-13 is described as playing a role in immune response regulation, cell adhesion, and apoptosis, and its dysregulation has been linked to inflammatory conditions, autoimmune diseases, and cancer, making it a biomarker of interest for research into disease pathogenesis and potential therapeutic interventions. Storage is 2–8°C for 12 months.

Spike-and-recovery performance was reported across serum (range 88–102%, average 96%), EDTA plasma (88–99%, average 94%), and heparin plasma (86–104%, average 94%). Linearity for serum at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 86–101%, 85–97% and 80–99%; for EDTA plasma 88–103%, 82–93% and 88–99%; and for heparin plasma 88–104%, 86–101% and 82–99%.
