Human GAL7 (Galectin 7) CLIA Kit (HUES00623)

A chemiluminescence immunoassay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative determination of Human GAL7 (Galectin-7) in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich-CLIA format in which standards or samples bind to an antibody pre-coated on the microplate, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-conjugated streptavidin to form a sandwich complex. A chemiluminescent substrate is then added; the HRP enzyme catalyses a light-emitting reaction and the intensity, measured on a luminometer, is directly proportional to the concentration of the target protein.

The kit recognises Human GAL7 in human samples with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogues observed (Uniport ID: P47929). It is intended for research applications in cancer and neuroscience, where galectin-7 is studied for its involvement in regulating cell growth, apoptosis, and inflammation, and as a biomarker implicated in cancer, inflammatory disorders, and autoimmune diseases.
