Quantitative measurement of circulating Galectin-4 has been applied in research on colorectal carcinoma, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastrointestinal inflammation, supporting its use as a candidate biomarker.

Built around a sandwich ELISA workflow, this Assay Genie kit delivers a colorimetric readout on a standard 96-well microplate and accepts serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. A typical run loads 100 ul of sample and standard per well, with incubation carried out at 37 degrees C and absorbance read at 450 nm against a reference wavelength.

Unopened kits should be stored refrigerated at 2-8 degrees C; reconstituted standards and working detection antibody are best aliquoted and held frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
