Human GAL2/Galectin-2 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human GAL2/Galectin-2 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, offering a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measurable range of 0.313–20 ng/mL.

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. The workflow follows a standard sandwich ELISA procedure: equilibrate reagents and the pre-coated plate to room temperature, load standards, samples and controls, then incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding. A biotin-labelled detection antibody is added and incubated at 37°C for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C. TMB substrate is then added and incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes before the reaction is stopped and absorbance read at 450 nm.

Galectin-2 is a protein involved in cell adhesion, proliferation and apoptosis and has been implicated in cancer, immune disorders and inflammatory conditions, making this kit a useful tool for related biomarker and disease research.
