Built around the colorimetric method, this human GABPa assay from Assay Genie delivers quantitative measurement of the ETS-family transcription factor GA Binding Protein Transcription Factor Alpha. GABPa forms a heterotetrameric complex with GABPb that binds GA-rich DNA promoter elements and regulates nuclear-encoded mitochondrial genes, including components of the oxidative phosphorylation machinery, making it a target of interest in studies of mitochondrial biogenesis, cellular energy metabolism, and nuclear-mitochondrial crosstalk.
Validated for use with tissue homogenates and other human sample matrices, the Assay Genie kit supports research applications in oncology, neurodegeneration, metabolic disease, and stem cell biology. Each kit supplies reagents sufficient for 96 determinations and is compatible with standard microplate readers, providing a reproducible platform for tracking GABPa protein dynamics in primary cell cultures, patient-derived tissue, and xenograft models.
Colorimetric readout, human reactivity, and a research-use-only designation make this kit appropriate for laboratories investigating transcription factor regulation, mitochondrial function, and disease mechanisms in human systems.
