Human G1/S-specific cyclin-D3 (CCND3) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human G1/S-specific cyclin-D3 (CCND3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The colourimetric assay is reactive with human samples and is designed to deliver consistent results for cell-cycle and disease-pathogenesis research.

Performance characteristics quoted from the manufacturer include a detection range of 78-5000pg/ml, a sensitivity of 39pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity was evaluated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery ranging 94-118%, EDTA plasma 98-124% and heparin plasma 86-116%. Average recovery is 103% (range 97-109%) in serum and 105% (range 99-111%) in plasma. Specificity is defined against natural and recombinant human G1/S-specific cyclin-D3 (UniProt P30281).

CCND3 is a regulatory component of the cyclin D3-CDK4 (DC) complex that phosphorylates and inhibits members of the retinoblastoma (RB) protein family and drives the G1/S transition. Hypophosphorylates RB1 in early G1, acts as a substrate for SMAD3 and forms ternary complexes with CDK4 and CDKN1B that support nuclear translocation and kinase activity, making this kit a relevant tool for studying cell-cycle control and potential therapeutic interventions.
