Fucosyltransferase 8 (FUT8) is the only mammalian glycosyltransferase that installs α1,6-linked core fucose on N-glycoproteins, and altered expression of FUT8 has been linked to hepatocellular carcinoma progression, modified antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity of therapeutic IgG, and dysregulated growth factor receptor signaling through the TGF-β and EGFR pathways. The Assay Genie kit enables translational researchers to quantify FUT8 protein levels in human-derived research samples, supporting studies in cancer biology, antibody glycoengineering, and glycoprotein biomarker discovery. Each kit is supplied with a pre-coated strip plate (run as 96 assays per the published format), capture antibody, biotinylated detection reagent, lyophilized standards, and substrate working solution, with all unopened components shipped refrigerated on wet ice to preserve enzymatic immunoreactivity. Once reconstituted, standards and diluted samples should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the working substrate solution must be protected from light during incubation.
