Human Fructose-bisphosphate aldolase C (ALDOC) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is intended for the quantitative detection of human Fructose-bisphosphate aldolase C (ALDOC), also referred to by the synonyms Brain-type aldolase and ALDC. The assay has human reactivity and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Fructose-bisphosphate aldolase C.

Performance figures include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.24ng/mL. Precision is supported by an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.8%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Recovery of spiked recombinant analyte averaged 93% in serum (range 87-99%) and 95% in plasma (range 89-101%).

ALDOC is a class I fructose-bisphosphate aldolase expressed specifically in the hippocampus and Purkinje cells of the brain. As a glycolytic enzyme it catalyses the reversible cleavage of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate and fructose 1-phosphate. Dysregulation of ALDOC expression has been implicated in various diseases including cancers, diabetes and neurological disorders.
