Human Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 (FBP1) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 (FBP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. FBP1 is a homotetrameric gluconeogenic enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate to fructose 6-phosphate in the presence of divalent cations, functioning as a rate-limiting step in glucose synthesis from non-carbohydrate precursors (UniProt P09467). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human FBP1 and is intended for metabolism research, with relevance to studies of metabolic disorders linked to dysregulated gluconeogenesis.

The kit delivers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.049 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.6% and inter-assay precision is 8.1%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages 98% in serum (range 92–104%) and 100% in plasma (range 94–106%).
