Human Fragilis/IFITM3 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Fragilis/IFITM3, an interferon-induced transmembrane protein (Uniprot Q01628; Gene ID 10410; KEGG K06566) involved in immune response, viral infection and host defence. The double-antibody sandwich format uses colorimetric detection and is intended for immunology research applications.

Reported sensitivity is 18.75 pg/mL with a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. In linearity testing (n=5), serum gave 86-104% at 1:2, 85-102% at 1:4 and 85-103% at 1:8, with EDTA plasma at 83-96%, 84-100% and 82-96% and heparin plasma at 86-96%, 80-95% and 97-100% across the same dilutions. Recovery ranged from 93-103% in serum (average 97%), 86-103% in EDTA plasma (average 97%) and 86-101% in heparin plasma (average 96%).

The procedure involves primary incubation of standards and samples, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB colour development and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
