Human FOLR1/Folate Receptor alpha ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human FOLR1 (Folate Receptor Alpha, Uniprot P15328) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody assay provides a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL across a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, supporting research into folate uptake and transport, folate metabolism, and cell proliferation, as well as investigations into diseases such as cancer, inflammatory disorders, and neurological conditions where dysregulation of Folate Receptor Alpha has been implicated.

The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. Validated linearity across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions falls within 80–101%, while recovery in the same matrices averages 92–96%. The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, then loading standards, samples, and blanks into the pre-coated wells for a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, followed by 60 minutes with a biotinylated detection antibody and 30 minutes with HRP-Streptavidin conjugate. Colour is developed by adding TMB substrate and incubating in the dark for 10–20 minutes, after which the reaction is stopped and absorbance read at 450 nm. Guidance is provided for preparing serum (centrifuge clotted blood at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (anticoagulant tubes, 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C), tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants (2500 rpm for 5 minutes), and cell lysates.
