Human Follistatin (FST) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative colorimetric detection of human Follistatin (FST) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant human Follistatin and is intended for research use only.

Key performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.5%.

Follistatin, also known as Activin-binding protein or FS, binds directly to activin and functions as an activin antagonist, specifically inhibiting the biosynthesis and secretion of pituitary follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). The protein is secreted as a monomer and is associated with signal transduction research.
