Human Follistatin ELISA Kit

A sandwich double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie intended for the quantitative measurement of Human Follistatin in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, and absorbance is measured at 450 nm using a microplate reader.

The microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to the target protein. Standards and diluted samples are added and incubated, after which a biotinylated detection antibody binds a second epitope of the analyte. HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate are then added to generate a color reaction that is stopped with an acidic solution. Signal intensity is directly proportional to analyte concentration and is quantified against a standard curve. Sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL, with a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

Reported linearity ranges from 80% to 104% across tested serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma dilutions, and recovery averages are 97% (serum), 92% (EDTA plasma) and 91% (heparin plasma). The kit is supplied by Assay Genie for use with human samples.
