Human Follicle-Stimulating Hormone/FSH ELISA Kit

This sandwich double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie enables the quantitative measurement of human Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH). It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody; standards and diluted samples bind the immobilised antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody directed against a separate epitope is then added to form a sandwich complex, and HRP-conjugated Streptavidin with TMB substrate generates a colorimetric signal. The reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm; signal intensity is directly proportional to analyte concentration and is calculated against a standard curve.

Specific to human reactivity, the kit reports a sensitivity of 0.938 mIU/mL and a measurable range of 1.563–100 mIU/mL (1 ng = 17.5 mIU). Reported dilution linearity spans 81–100% for serum, 85–105% for EDTA plasma, and 85–103% for heparin plasma, with average recoveries of 95%, 97%, and 95% respectively. The procedure includes reagent equilibration to room temperature, a primary incubation at 37 °C for 90 minutes, detection-antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and immediate absorbance measurement.
