Human FLOT1/Flotillin-1 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of Flotillin-1. The kit is reactive with mouse samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Detection range is 0.156-10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.8% and inter-assay CV is 8.1%. Linearity in serum (N=5) ranges from 101-111% at 1:2 to 88-98% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) ranges from 111-121% to 90-100%; heparin plasma (N=5) ranges from 110-119% to 92-101%. Average recovery is 81% for serum (range 80-87%) and 83% for plasma (range 80-89%). The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Flotillin-1.

Flotillin-1 may act as a scaffolding protein within caveolar membranes, participating in formation of caveolae or caveolae-like vesicles, and forms heterooligomeric complexes with flotillin-2, caveolin-1 and caveolin-2. The research area is cancer. For research use only.
