Built around a quantitative immunoassay for the mechanistic Target of Rapamycin (mTOR), also known as FK506-binding protein 12-rapamycin associated protein (FRAP), this kit from Assay Genie is intended for human sample research. The target analyte is a 289 kDa serine/threonine kinase at the core of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR axis, where it integrates nutrient, growth factor and stress signals to govern cell growth, proliferation, autophagy and protein translation.

Applied to tissue homogenates and cell lysates, the assay delivers an absorbance-based readout across a microplate, supporting studies of mTOR pathway activity in oncology, metabolism, immunology and neuroscience research workflows.
