Human Filamin-C (FLNC) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Filamin-C (FLNC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples.

Filamin C is a muscle-specific protein that functions as a large actin-cross-linking protein, playing a central role in muscle cells and contributing to structural functions at the Z lines. It is involved in reorganizing the actin cytoskeleton in response to signaling events and is critical for normal myogenesis and the structural integrity of muscle fibers. Dysregulation of Filamin C has been associated with skeletal muscle disorders, heart defects, and neurological diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these conditions. The kit is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.31 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.9%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery ranges from 100-112% in serum (average 106%) and 102-114% in plasma (average 108%). The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Filamin-C, which is also known by synonyms including ABP-280-like protein, ABP-L, Actin-binding-like protein, Filamin-2, Gamma-filamin, FLN-C, ABPL, and FLN2.
