Human Filamin-B ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of human Filamin-B, offered by Assay Genie. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only and recognizes natural and recombinant human Filamin-B.

According to one manufacturer datasheet, sensitivity is 5.2 pg/mL with a working range of 15.63–1000 pg/mL and an assay length of 3.5h; intra-assay precision is CV%<8% and inter-assay precision is CV%<10%. A second manufacturer datasheet states sensitivity of 7.9 pg/mL, a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL, intra-assay CV of 4.8% and inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Recovery in serum is reported as 80–95% (average 87%) in one source and 102–114% (average 108%) in the other. Filamin-B is described as a cytoskeletal protein that links actin filaments to membrane glycoproteins, with roles in cell migration, adhesion and signalling, and has been associated with conditions such as Larsen syndrome, boomerang dysplasia, atelosteogenesis types I and III, and spondylocarpotarsal synostosis syndrome.
