Human Filamin A Alpha (FLNa) ELISA Kit

Filamin A Alpha (FLNa) is a large, ~280 kDa actin-binding phosphoprotein that organizes the subcortical actin cytoskeleton, scaffolds transmembrane receptors and signaling intermediates, and integrates mechanical cues through integrin and Rho GTPase pathways. This Assay Genie immunoassay uses a matched antibody pair specific to human FLNa and an absorbance-based readout to deliver quantitative protein measurements, supporting studies of cytoskeletal remodeling, cell migration and adhesion, mechanotransduction, and tumor cell invasion, as well as research on FLNA-related disorders including periventricular nodular heterotopia, otopalatodigital syndrome spectrum disorders, cardiac valvular dystrophy, and Melnick-Needles syndrome, where altered expression or stability of the protein contributes to disease. Human-specific reactivity has been confirmed, with no significant cross-reactivity reported against rodent Filamin A or paralogous Filamin B and Filamin C under standard conditions, and the microplate workflow enables parallel processing of samples, standards, and internal controls across a strip-plate format intended for research use only, with the kit supporting biomarker discovery and translational investigations in cell biology, neurobiology, and connective tissue disease models.
