Human Ficolin 2 (FCN2) ELISA Kit

Ficolin-2 (FCN2), also called L-ficolin, is a soluble pattern-recognition molecule of the lectin pathway of complement activation, secreted mainly by hepatocytes. It binds N-acetylglucosamine and acetylated sugar structures on microbial surfaces, then recruits MASP-1 and MASP-2 serine proteases to initiate downstream opsonization and inflammatory signaling.

This Assay Genie kit enables quantification of circulating FCN2 levels in studies of innate immunity, recurrent respiratory infections, inflammatory bowel disease, and FCN2 gene polymorphisms such as the A258S variant. Capture and detection antibodies are human-specific, with no significant cross-reactivity against related lectins Ficolin-1 (FCN1/M-ficolin) and Ficolin-3 (FCN3/H-ficolin). A 50 uL sample volume is added per well. Reconstituted standards and antibody vials should be aliquoted and stored at -20 degrees C to limit freeze-thaw damage, while the sealed microplate is held refrigerated at 4 degrees C until first use.
