Human Fibulin-5 (FBLN5) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate measurement of human Fibulin-5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It recognises natural and recombinant human Fibulin-5 and is supplied for research use only.

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. In spiked samples, recovery averaged 101% (range 95–107%) for serum and 103% (range 97–109%) for plasma, and linearity has been demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

Fibulin-5 (FBLN5; UniProt Q9UBX5) is a secreted extracellular matrix protein that supports elastic fibre assembly and organisation in skin, lung and vasculature and promotes endothelial cell adhesion through integrin interactions. It is implicated in vascular development and remodelling, and its dysregulation has been linked to cardiovascular, pulmonary and connective tissue disorders. The target is also referenced by the synonyms Developmental arteries and neural crest EGF-like protein, Dance, FIBL-5, UP50 and DANCE, and the assay falls within the signal transduction research area.
