Human Fibulin-1 (FBLN1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Fibulin-1 (FBLN1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for both natural and recombinant human Fibulin-1, supporting accurate and reproducible quantification across a range of research applications.

Reported performance values include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 41 pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.8% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 9.2% (CV). Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, and recovery in serum averages 94% (range 88-100%) and in plasma averages 96% (range 90-102%).

Fibulin-1 is a secreted glycoprotein that incorporates into fibronectin-containing matrix fibres and contributes to extracellular matrix organisation, cell adhesion and migration, and basement membrane architecture. It has been implicated in cellular transformation, tumour invasion, haemostasis and thrombosis, and modulation of APP neurotrophic activity, and is associated with conditions including cancer, cardiovascular and connective tissue disease, and a form of synpolydactyly.
