Human Fibulin-1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human fibulin-1, a protein implicated in extracellular matrix formation, cell adhesion and tissue development. Dysregulation of fibulin-1 has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders and connective tissue diseases, making it a useful biomarker in immunology research. The double-antibody sandwich format uses colorimetric detection with TMB substrate, read at 450 nm, and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported sensitivity is 0.281 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.469-30 ng/mL. Linearity data (n = 5) for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions are 88-103%/98-104%/92-105%, 89-101%/84-97%/84-99% and 81-94%/84-99%/84-100% respectively. Recovery ranges (n = 5) are 90-101% (serum), 87-105% (EDTA plasma) and 86-103% (heparin plasma), with corresponding averages of 95%, 95% and 96%.

The workflow comprises a 37°C antigen-binding incubation for 90 minutes, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, 30 minutes with HRP-Streptavidin, and TMB development in the dark for 10-20 minutes. Kit components are stored at 2-8°C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions.
