The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human fibronectin. The manufacturer reports a colorimetric detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL, together with an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%.

Reported linearity for serum is 100-111% at a 1:2 dilution and 92-101% at a 1:4 dilution, while recovery averages 95% for serum (range 89-101%) and 97% for plasma (range 91-103%).
