Human Fibromodulin/FMOD ELISA Kit

This colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Fibromodulin (FMOD) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is for research use only.

The assay has a stated range of 15.625-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/ml, with optical density read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. The kit also includes validated Bradford Reagent for total protein quantification to support sample normalisation.

In the workflow, a target-specific capture antibody is pre-coated onto the microplate wells. Samples and standards are added, unbound material is washed away, and a biotinylated detection antibody is applied. After a second wash, HRP-conjugated Streptavidin is introduced to form a biotin-streptavidin-HRP complex, and TMB substrate is added to produce a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. The OD450 value is directly proportional to FMOD concentration, which is determined by reference to a standard curve.
