Human Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 (FGFBP1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 (FGFBP1). It is reactive for human samples and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 5.2% and inter-assay CV at 8.9%. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human FGFBP1 and is intended for research use only.

FGFBP1 acts as a carrier protein that releases fibroblast-binding factors (FGFs) from extracellular matrix storage, enhancing the mitogenic activity of FGFs. It plays a role in FGF2 signalling during tissue repair, angiogenesis and tumour growth, and dysregulation has been linked to conditions such as cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disorders. The protein is found in a complex with FGF1 and FGF2 and interacts with FGF1, FGF2, FGF7, FGF10, FGF22 and HSPG2.
