Human Fibroblast growth factor 6 (FGF6) ELISA Kit

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is supplied for research use only.

FGF6 is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family with broad mitogenic and cell survival activities. It plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation, cell differentiation, angiogenesis and myogenesis, and is required for normal muscle regeneration. The protein is also known by the synonyms Heparin secretory-transforming protein 2, Heparin-binding growth factor 6, HST-2, HBGF-6, FGF-6, HST2 and HSTF2, with UniProt accession P10767 and a reported molecular weight of 23 kDa. The kit detects natural and recombinant human FGF6.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Across tested dilutions, linearity ranged from 95–115% in serum, 86–104% in EDTA plasma and 88–117% in heparin plasma. Recovery averaged 103% in serum (range 97–109%) and 105% in plasma (range 99–111%).
