Human Fibrinogen Beta (FGb) ELISA Kit

Quantification of the fibrinogen beta polypeptide (FGb) in human plasma is supported by the immunoassay kit from Assay Genie, which uses an enzyme-driven colorimetric readout compatible with standard microplate readers. Fibrinogen circulates as a roughly 340 kDa hexameric glycoprotein composed of two Aα, two Bβ, and two γ chains produced by hepatocytes, with the Bβ chain specified by the FGB gene. Because the beta chain is a structural building block of the clotting factor, plasma measurement of FGb is commonly used in coagulation biology research, cardiovascular and thrombotic disorder investigations, hepatic function studies, and inflammation-related biomarker work.

The kit is supplied as a 96-assay pack with reagents sufficient for individual determinations following a conventional coated-well immunoassay: prepared plasma samples and calibration standards are loaded into antibody-coated wells, an enzyme-conjugated detector is added, and a chromogenic substrate produces an absorbance signal proportional to FGb concentration. Plates can be processed using most automated plate washers and absorbance readers, and each manufacturing lot is verified for intra- and inter-assay reproducibility.
