Human FGF19 ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables accurate quantification of fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19) levels in human samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, reading absorbance at 450 nm after TMB substrate development. It is reactive specifically with human FGF19 and is intended for research applications.

The kit accepts a broad range of sample types, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It delivers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a measurable range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C, where they remain stable for up to 12 months. Reported linearity for serum ranges from 87–105% across dilution factors, with EDTA plasma between 82–100% and heparin plasma between 80–100%. Recovery averages 93% in serum, 97% in EDTA plasma, and 94% in heparin plasma.

FGF19 is involved in metabolism regulation and bile acid synthesis, and its dysregulation has been linked to metabolic conditions such as obesity and diabetes, making the assay a useful tool for biomarker research. The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding a biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, then HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, followed by TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes before stopping and reading at 450 nm. Provided buffers and conjugate components are stored at 2–8°C, protected from direct light.
