Assay Genie's quantitative immunoassay targets fibroblast growth factor 16, a paracrine signaling factor implicated in embryonic cardiomyocyte development and brown adipose thermogenesis. The kit pairs capture and detection antibodies raised against the human FGF16 protein (UniProt O43320; gene ID 8823) and is validated for cell culture supernatant, plasma, and serum specimens.

Standard curves span a detection range of 0.82 to 200 ng/mL, with sensitivity 0.82 ng/mL. A 100 uL sample volume is loaded per well of the pre-coated microplate, and the biotin-streptavidin-HRP workflow yields absorbance readings that can be interpolated against the supplied recombinant standards. A two-fold dilution of serum and plasma is recommended to bring endogenous FGF16 concentrations within the quantitative window of the assay.
