Human FGF1/FGF acidic ELISA Kit

Offered by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantitation of FGF1 (also known as acidic fibroblast growth factor, aFGF, HBGF-1, AFGF, and FGF-alpha) in human samples. FGF1 plays a key role in cell growth, development, and tissue repair, and is implicated in wound healing, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases, supporting research in cardiovascular biology.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with a colorimetric detection method on a solid phase. It has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measurement range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity performance across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 85–105%, 84–101%, and 80–88% for serum; 86–101%, 82–100%, and 85–100% for EDTA plasma; and 87–105%, 82–97%, and 80–100% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages are 92% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes, adding HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C with a shelf life of up to 12 months.
