Human FGB/Fibrinogen Beta ELISA Kit

An ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human fibrinogen beta (FGB) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a sandwich ELISA, double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. Fibrinogen beta is a protein involved in the blood clotting process, with a role in wound healing and vascular health, and is being studied as a biomarker in cardiovascular, inflammatory and liver conditions. The kit is intended for research use in immunology.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.281 ng/mL and a working range of 0.469–30 ng/mL. Linearity testing showed, for EDTA plasma (n = 5): 84–101% at 1:2, 91–101% at 1:4, and 88–101% at 1:8; and for heparin plasma (n = 5): 86–99% at 1:2, 82–100% at 1:4, and 81–99% at 1:8. Recovery testing gave averages of 97% (range 86–105%) for EDTA plasma and 94% (range 86–105%) for heparin plasma.

Storage is at 2–8°C for 12 months. The procedure involves reagent equilibration to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, 60-minute biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, 30-minute HRP-streptavidin binding, 10–20 minute TMB color development in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
