Human fFN (fetal Fibronectin) ELISA Kit

A quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie, this kit is a sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format for the measurement of fetal fibronectin in human samples. Fetal fibronectin is a protein present in amniotic fluid and produced by the fetal membrane during pregnancy. Elevated levels in cervicovaginal fluid have been associated with preterm labor, making the analyte a valuable biomarker for assessing the risk of premature birth and monitoring pregnancy outcomes.

Validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, the kit has a reported sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Detection is colorimetric, with capture antibody pre-coated onto the microplate, a biotin-conjugated antibody for detection, and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for signal generation using TMB substrate read at 450 nm after stop solution addition.

Validation data show linearity across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, with recovery averaging 97% for serum, 98% for EDTA plasma, and 97% for heparin plasma. The kit is for research use only and supports research applications in immunology, including studies of preterm labor, pregnancy complications, and fetal membrane integrity.
