FES is a non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase that participates in cytoskeletal reorganization, myeloid cell differentiation, and downstream signaling from receptor tyrosine kinases, and it is the subject of active research in hematologic malignancy, inflammation, and solid tumor biology.
