Human Ferritin heavy chain (FTH1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the precise detection of human Ferritin heavy chain (FTH1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method with reactivity toward human samples, and it shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Ferritin heavy chain.

The kit delivers a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.39ng/mL. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 4.0% and an inter-assay CV of 6.8%. Linearity has been validated across serum (92-118% from 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, N=5), EDTA plasma (80-102%) and heparin plasma (84-113%). Recovery averages 99% in serum (range 93-105%) and 101% in plasma (range 95-107%).

Ferritin heavy chain is the major intracellular iron storage protein, storing iron in a soluble, non-toxic, readily available form and contributing to iron homeostasis and ferroxidase activity. The kit is listed for research in the Neurosciences area and is intended for research use only.
