Human Fermitin family homolog 3 (FERMT3) ELISA Kit

The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human FERMT3. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.083ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 6.5%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (N=5) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Average recovery is 94% (range 88-100%) for serum and 96% (range 90-102%) for plasma. The protein is implicated in cell migration, immune response and tissue development, with dysregulation linked to leukemia, immune deficiency disorders and inflammatory conditions. Subcellular localisation is described at cell projections and podosomes, and the listed research area is cancer. Isoform 2 may act as a repressor of NF-kappa-B and apoptosis.
