Quantitative measurement of human Flap Endonuclease 1 (FEN1) in research samples is delivered through this immunoassay from Assay Genie. FEN1 is a structure-specific endonuclease and 5' exonuclease essential for Okazaki fragment maturation during lagging-strand DNA synthesis, base excision repair, and maintenance of genomic stability. Because FEN1 expression is frequently dysregulated in cancer cells and altered in the cellular response to DNA damage, this kit supports oncology, DNA repair mechanism, and biomarker discovery workflows.

The reagent set provides materials for 96 individual determinations and is supplied with a pre-coated plate, biotin-conjugated detection antibody, recombinant standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent. Diluted samples and standards are dispensed into designated wells; absorbance is subsequently read on a standard microplate reader. Each kit ships with a detailed protocol insert covering reagent preparation, recommended dilution schemes, and the assay procedure.

Intended for research use only, the assay is compatible with serum or plasma preparations handled under standard laboratory conditions. Reconstituted reagents should be stored refrigerated and protect from light; refer to the enclosed insert for the full storage temperature chart and the expiration window of unopened components. Researchers studying FEN1 as a candidate biomarker, mapping DNA repair pathway activity, or screening small molecules that modulate flap endonuclease function will find this format compatible with high-throughput workflows.
